By

Whether it is for a Christmas toast, a birthday dinner, a special occasion, or just a regular day that you want to make special, a prime rib is a very ideal choice to serve. It is a special beef cut in the most delicious section of a cow and that is its ribs. However, every delicious food comes complete when they are not alone and are also accompanied by the right and appropriate delicious recipes. So, let us try to find out what recipes will go well with your delicious Prime Rib recipe.

The entire rib is comprised of six to twelve sections and the prime rib is a cut of beef from one of these sections. It is one of the eight primal cuts of beef. Prime rib is properly termed as standing rib roast because it is most often roasted and cooked in a standing position. However, over time and language differences, the term “prime rib” has become the more popular and accepted name for this certain beef cut. The preparation for cooking prime rib is not simple and it usually takes a lot of time and energy. However, the end results justify the efforts made because it is indeed a delicious food to behold. It is usually served in Christmas dinners and other special occasions. In restaurants and fine dining places, prime rib is often served on a large heated cart and will be carved immediately in your tableside.

The prime rib itself is delicious and may satisfy one’s need for stomach filling, people often find it hard to partner it with the proper and appropriate food recipe. For one, a good food is made more delicious when it is partnered with the right side dish and the appropriate drink. Second, prime rib is not fully enjoyed when not served with other good food. Imagine eating prime rib and washing it after with a soft drink or a juice. Would that be good? Well, you can certainly do just that if you like but the taste of prime rib would not be that satisfying when you serve it with its brothers and sisters. If you are stressing out now because of the search for the perfect prime beef partner, worry no more for you will soon learn the best and simplest recipes to accompany a prime rib.

If you are a fan of UK or England or you live there, then Yorkshire pudding is best to serve. It is because in United Kingdom, Yorkshire pudding is the most frequently served side dish to prime rib. There are also other good things to use for accompaniment such as horseradish sauce. This special sauce can be bought ready to use placed inside cans in grocery stores. However, if you want to make a dinner extra special, you can make your own horseradish sauce. Another good dish to serve with prime rib is a crisp salad. The salad must be really juicy for it to be really good. Some other recipes good for prime rib are baked potatoes which are covered in a good amount of sour cream and Portobello mushrooms that are grilled using herbs and balsamic vinegar. You can also add creamy chunks of blue cheese with a lot of ripe tomatoes. Also included in the list are freshly roasted corn ears. If you will go for the complete package, might as well try prime rib with seasoned or spiced entrée. These will temper the seasoning and also complement the taste of the rib. You can definitely use roasted pepper to complement the seasoning of the prime rib and add mashed potatoes and creamed spinach to the menu to temper the prime rib.

Of course, a full meal is not complete without a drink for toast. You could not just pick simple water or a delicious juice to wash down what you just ate. Moreover, it is definitely weird for you to use a soft drink to accompany the food for it will ruin the whole feel and taste of the dinner. What you need to drink is wine. If you have the budget, go for a 1994 bottle of Chateau La Croix or a 1996 Tignamello and Opus One. However, if you lack in the budget department or if the menu already costs too much, go for a simple white wine. This will be enough to complement the taste of your swallowed food.

Certainly, good food becomes more delicious when served with the proper accompaniments. In the case of prime rib, you may just have to be more selective of what you serve with it.
