· Plantain skins

· Coconut husks

· Cocoa pods

· Hand press

· Bowl

· Strainer

· Shea tree bark

· Double boiler

· Lighter

· Soap mold

Instructions:

Step 1: Extract the oil. You can do this by pressing the coconut husks in a hand press.

Step 2: Burn (literally)! Now, once you got all the husks extracted with oil, you will have to do some burning. Get the plantain skins, cocoa pods, and shea barks and then use any method you know and where you are comfortable in burning all of them. Make sure that all three of them are turned into ash.

Step 3: now, once you got the ashes, you will have to mix it with water. Get a bowl that is large enough to fit the ashes and contain the water. Put the ashes into the bowl and pour in some water. Mix them well and pour the resulting mixture through the strainer before putting it into the double burner.

Step 4: Cook. Now add the oil into the mixture and turn the heat to low. Stir the mixture while cooking and wait for it to get smooth.

Step 5: Get the soap. Once the mixture is smooth, there will be some hot soap that will rise to the surface. You will have to scoop these. Leave them to cool down.

Step 6: Get the soap molder that you want and pour in the cooled soap mixture (wax) that you got from cooking the ash mixture. Leave it in the mold until it hardens. Now, leave the soap to cure for about two weeks and you are done.
